You’re Gonna Flip Over This!

June 5, 2009

1FINAL with rainbowtextA new teen literary magazine debuts this week for Central Ohio. Talented young writers from the Greater Columbus area have put their original writings of fiction, non-fiction, poetry, articles and artwork into Flip the Page. This literary magazine is a collaboration between Thurber House and local writer and arts educator Kelli Trinoskey.  In its first year, Flip the Page received over 70 submissions from young writers 13-19 years old. Twenty-six writings and three illustrations are featured in the magazine.

Fifteen of the twenty-six young authors featured in the magazine, will read their work during the Columbus Arts Festival on the Poetry Stage today,  June 5 at 7 pm.  An open mic reception at Thurber Center will follow the reading.

Flip the Page will be on sale for $5.00 at the Columbus Arts Festival during the reading. Thurber Country Bookstore and Cover To Cover Bookstore will carry the magazine this summer for $5.00.
